Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?

Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

Have you considered posting/delivering it?
If you go old school, they are more likely to read some of it because it is an effort to scan it in and then get the system to process it. And there is no point in doing that if the CV doesn't match the job.
And if you deliver it, you could get an opportunity to observe the workplace.

Good point. Noted
It’s been like that for decades. I find the easier way to do it is to copy and paste phrasing from resumes that have the highest search result. Those resumes are already SEO optimized. Why reinvent the wheel?
Also use AI tools to optimize your resume for the ATS. They may have had a screener kicking people off the requisition because you had wrong Zip code or salary expectations. Try to not answer every thing they have in the ATS and it may be they have enough candidates and the hiring manager told them to close it down
