I relocated with my family to Ireland recently, one month ago, and while I got a lot of screening calls with recruiters, I did not hear back from any of them after our interview. I am still on the process of getting my work permit and I am very clear about this during the interviews, but I suspect that this is the reason why I am not getting any call back. Any tips on the first screening call with recruiters? Should I touch base with them after our interviews?

Interviewing at Microsoft for a Senior Program Manager role. The recruiter said PMs at Microsoft are technical and some of the interviews will focus on technical questions/design problems. I haven’t faced any technical or design rounds earlier (in my prior industry interviews) - how should I best prepare for it? Any advice who interviewed in similar roles or are at the role at MS? Looking for advice. ~1 month ago I started formally complaining to HR about some toxic partners, uncompetitive comp, and excessive work load. There has been a lot of TO in the last 12 months and I have been interviewing elsewhere. I was interviewed for a perticular customer, which went well and also received an offer. Few days before of my joining date, i came to know that the technology stack from customer got changed and customer had no requirement for which i was hired. Recently started freelancing and working from home and realized that I really need a quality office chair cause my current one is killing my back. Any suggestions below $500 if possible?

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?

My accounting edge finance is not compatible with the new Mac OS. I do not need the $15/month subscription they offering as an upgrade since I’m a lone freelancer. I’ve always kept my own books and did my own taxes. Anyone else out there with a basic bookkeeping program recommendation for Mac would be appreciated.

Friendly reminder folks- don’t work for Havas Health and You. They cut the freelancers hourly rates, again and made it so there’s no OT. The resource manager at HOV said if I couldn’t swing $80 an hour as an HCP copywriter, she’d have to find someone else. Good luck 👍🏻
