I was told this quote by an ad professor who did great work when he was in the industry. Still remember it 12 years later. This doesn’t mean that we don’t need to find inspiration in art, music, and etc in the world around us.

Here’s some advice for you. Start finding ways to get more joy into your life beyond work. I don’t think there’s anything wrong in enjoying your work per se but once you retire than you may feel lost. I worry a lot about my dad because of that, he can’t be idle. He has multiple jobs.

The other thing is. Don’t let companies exploit you because of your love for the job.
