I just got a promotion that will involve 90% travel, I am excited about the role, but I have kids and me travelling means no one to take my kids to day care on days my wife works as she resumes 6am.

I've been avoiding breaking up with someone (I've been dating off and on for a year) for the past few weeks because I can't decide the best way to do it. We're not compatible long-term. He's not seeing anyone else and I've told him I'm seeing other people but he's starting to have relationship expectations for me since we reconnected a few months ago. Teaching has taken over so much. I’m a wife and mother and still have a home life, but there is nothing outside of work and home. I have no friends, no other activities, no escape. Covid restrictions do not help. I know it’s not healthy to only focus on everyone else, but I’m not sure what to do about it. I have only sporadic time opportunities and I don’t even know what I enjoy doing anymore. When trying to do other stuff I can’t turn off mom or teacher brain.

My HR was completed on Oct 6th. It's been one month and still didn't receive an offer letter from Bosch Bangalore. They are feeling it's pending for approval. Any comments ? Did anyone receive offer letter after 1 month ?

I want to leave but I’m stuck in a lease signed in January. Everyone I know is moving home to work remotely and save money. I’ve never felt more stuck.

I’m not a big thanksgiving person. I’m not ungrateful, I kinda just go thru the motions. Except this past year had more motion than usual. Shit went bad. It hurt. I fell apart. One of my only stable forces was my job. I didn’t think about it at the time. I am now. It would be weird tell my team this, a lot of personal details would have to be explained, and I’d cry, so I’m saying it here instead. I am thankful for my team. I am thankful for my desk. I am thankful for the same meetings I complain about. Even when I’m only ‘responding without comments’, I’m still thankful.

I’m struggling. I left an agency I liked last year due to growth limitations and since then I’ve worked at 2 different agencies and can’t seem to find my footing. The first one seemed like a good fit at first but then it turned out to not be the best place for me so I left. At my current agency I feel super undervalued. I’m always raising my hand and offering to help where I can and no matter what I do, I don’t feel utilized or valued or part of the team.It’s really taken a toll on my confidence

I’m exhausted with having to educate colleagues on what we do. I know we’re specialists as producers, but we work in the same industry, people. There has to be a modicum of knowledge and understanding with the agency process from top to bottom. And if you don’t have the experience, PLEASE don’t tell me how something should be done.

I always freak out when any boss wants to talk to me. Could be good, but I’ve also had the unexpected bad convo. Hate that I always expect the worst.

So… two months ago I started a gig as a CD. Good agency. Very talented people. Pretty quickly I realized that my new job is kinda about keeping up with incoming emails/teams messages. I can’t handle it. For the last month I have been sleeping in, getting out of bed after 11am, like I prefer. Those notifications start coming at around 8am and all I do is press those suggested replies on teams, not even half awake, pretty much still dreaming, and it works. I’m getting lots of good feedback.
