I walked into an interview full of energy and the panel looked half asleep. I tried to stay upbeat, but honestly, it threw me off. Does interviewer energy actually matter or am I overthinking it?

Sure, that can matter a lot. An interview situation is a back and forth, and if one side isn't really participating at the top of their game it can make things awkward. Sometimes people do too many interviews and their fatigue with the process isn't fair to candidates who catch them when they're not at their best.

I think interviewer energy matters. A sleepy panel can throw off even strong candidates.

It definitely does. It's hard to focus on what you're trying to say when the interviewer seems totally disengaged. You start wondering if they're at all serious about you considering you for the position. The best interviews are the ones where conversation flows freely. That can't happen when one party is struggling to stay awake.

I agree. Low energy from them makes you question their interest and your performance.

Does an MBA (US) make sense for me? Male, Indian, Age 32, Married working in tech consulting with 10 YOE. Base is $165 with steady increases and bonus is typically 15%. I eventually do want to cross the $300K threshold but I know stopping work for 2 years and getting and MBA probably won’t get me a $300K job right away. Becoming a manger in my current company/path will probably get me there in terms of TC. Also considering EMBA from a good school (Wharton Global, Duke, Kellogg, Booth).

Hi Fishes I am in a complex situation, please help me out..

I got an offer with TCS and initially selected joining date as Jan 2.. but current org released me in 1 month instead of 3 months.. I asked TCS HR and others for early Onboarding but they didn't respond well..

After that I got one offer and joined immediately. But now I don't like to work here as I have to go to office all 5 days mandatorily, also role is slightly new to me.

How can join in TCS on the selected date ?
Any possibility?
