I was looking back at a photo I took when I was a fresh junior on the job, when I received brand guidelines for a major coffee/donut brand during a briefing. I was so excited. At the time it was a huge career milestone for me. But now, receiving brand guidelines for major brands is a part of my every day mundane routine. What is something that is normal to you now that was once a super big deal?

Oh, that's a good point! I like looking back to see how far I've come, too. When I started writing, I used to think it was crazy to see my words on pamphlets and marketing collateral. Now I see them and wish I worded things differently 😭🤣

Getting work! I used to negotiate so much and go out of my way just to get these tiny little projects. Almost to the point I was losing money on some of them. Now I have steady gigs in my freelance career and it is such a great feeling to not second guess charging my worth!
