It’s very hard to get in the industry as companies keep
downsizing. You are likely competing with candidates that have a successful history. My advice would be to look at regional specialty pharmacies,, payors and distributors, dentist, vet sales. Get some experience that is closer aligned and be a rockstar.
When I was trying to find roles when I was beginning I shadowed reps in pharma & medical sales. Perhaps ask your GP if they have any pharma reps that visit them they’d put you in touch with to do this. A great book to read on Medical sales is “Be Brief. Be Bright.Be gone” by David Currier.
Showing that you have been doing this work to understand what the roles involve as you don’t have any experience will at least show potential employers work ethic.
