I work at an enterprise level SaaS company. As a SPM I see a lot of opportunities we don’t seem to have a growth team, no PLG where it could be implemented, and some other cultural shifts I feel could really drive a positive change. Although as an IC I don’t see much of an opportunity beyond leading by example to create that change. Any advice on how I could bring up my thoughts to senior leadership that would lead to a meaningful conversation?

I’ve been working as an APM at my current company for 1yr, and have basically been doing the work of a full blown PM the entire time. I’ve lead several features from start to finish and made sure to mention in my resume that I have been doing everything a regular PM does. Has anyone ever hired an APM for a PM role or done it yourself? Any tips? Advice?

I’m trying to pivot to PM after >3 years in finance and I have a 2nd round interview with CPO this week. Company has 3.7 on Glassdoor with complaints about CEO, “bro-y” culture, and hard to wfh. It’s a data analytics company with 5 PMs, was bought by a PE firm this year, and has a new (female) CEO as of Oct. Role is 50/50 hybrid, pays well vs what I make, and most importantly would be a foot in the door to PM. Is this a good place to be for PM? What else do I need to find out to know for sure?
