I working on my 1st project manager contract, and the client seems to be disorganized. They asked what I could do for them, and I sent over a proposal. They seem to agree but never referenced anything about on-boarding me. They stated that they would get back to me by Tuesday, and I haven't heard anything. Should I move on or be patient in this situation?

No don’t wait. A non-pestering follow up shows proactivity. And always keep looking. Can’t tell you how many sure things turn into crickets.

Remember, putting all your eggs on one basket turns into lemonade. Not sure I have that phrase right.

I've learned my lesson with this one.

They’re just disorganized. They’ll get back to you eventually, but the way they’ve operated ‘till now is exactly how they’ll be once you’re in.

Yep they’ll be disorganized when it’s time to pay!

Always follow up, never wait too long to do it!
You can ask them if they have some questions or considerations regarding the proposal you sent and say that you are open to reviewing it in case they want to, that's the best approach to back on track with the conversation again!

like

Yeah but as you said before they are disorganized, ask again if they have any questions about the proposal, and start from there. Also, ask them if they need help on this “link” or whatever they are trying to send you, and show that you are willing to get this project! Don't let them ghost you!

Genuinely curious, do people actually enjoy working in the Oracle EPM system? Been working in it for 2 years and it’s miserable. I can’t imagine anyone waking up and looking forward to implementing that system, but that could just be me.

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?

Hi All- I’m looking for a super simple time tracking platform to integrate with Asana for a team of 5. All we need it for is to see how much time is going into different projects that our department is managing. That’s it. No billing/invoicing/don’t care about time sheets, etc. We just need the ability to track and pull a report at the end of each month. Anyone have recommendations?
