IB OR PE Recruiting?

Hey guys -
Trying to break into PE with no finance experience and wanted a realistic understanding of my chances.

Context:
• Currently at HSW getting MBA
• Sponsored from MBB
• 3 Yrs work experience at MBB
• <25 yrs old

Will a summer in IB at a top BB help my chances of recruiting full time? Should I just try and recruit for PE this summer without investment experience?
Really want to get a deal team position and trying to maximize my chances.

What do you do for your neck to prevent wrinkles? Just moisturize? Is there a special formula or routine you use?

Are there downsides to wearing a datejust to work, for a first year analyst ? Would you recommend against it ?

Planning a one-week summer vacation to Yellowstone Park area. Family unit of 6, so need to rent a single, large SUV. Just looked at prices and the cheapest car available for 6 people with unlimited mileage is $3,500+. Makes the vacation almost not worth it. I have been in client facing wealth management as an advisor for 10 years. I haven’t built a book of business because I’ve worked for mostly discount brokers (Merrill edge, TDA, Etrade). I want to know how to transition to a non client facing role in wealth management or another financial role. I am series 7 and series 66 licensed. Any thoughts?

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Currently work in a very unique Wealth Management ops role.

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?

Thoughts on Citi's Leveraged Portfolio Group at the Analyst level? I'm curious if anyone has additional details on the group for an Analyst spot. What does the group focus on in terms of work, what are hours like, decent exit Ops, interview process etc? I'm currently an Analyst in an industry specific Corporate Banking group at a competitor of Citi so I have experience underwriting HY transactions and portfolio management.

I have an offer in PE VP role in Citco and JPM and I am at cross road on which is one to company to choose. Their pay is very similar but JPM is offering an attractive signing on bonus. I need a honest advise on which is better between these two firms.
