Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

If you're in a major city like NYC and there are firms holding receptions, I would go. Big firms in major markets that recruit clerks often hire a year in advance, similar to the hiring schedule for making offers to summer associates a year in advance.
I just got a post-clerkship job in a small city (not from there, not clerking there). For that type of market, start reaching out 6 months in advance. Just do informational calls or lunches with people. They know you're looking for a job. They will either be forthcoming that their group is busy and encourage you to apply, or they will just answer whatever questions you have and not offer you further help, which is an indication they have no openings. Don't directly ask for a job. Always ask if there are others they suggest you speak with. If you have alumni connections or any other connections you can leverage, that's helpful.
I think 5-6 months prior to the end of your clerkship is a good time to start looking/applying
Thank you all!
I started applying 4 months into my clerkship and offers started coming about 3 weeks ago. I think 6 to 4 months out is the prime time to start applying.
