If you could retire a year from now, where would you go? Would you stay where you are, move somewhere else in the U.S., or maybe even start fresh overseas? I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. Honestly, I don’t mind staying here in SoCal, but part of me wonders if there’s a place out there with the same beautiful weather that’s easier on the wallet, if that place even exists! Curious what everyone else’s dream retirement spot would be and why.

I want to ask others Art Directors here, what responsibilities you have. What your day-to-day looks like? I’m still doing everything that I used to do when I was a Lead Designer. Does anyone have any insight into partners retiring early? I am at a point where I need to consider leaving if I am not aiming for partner. I don’t see myself working past my 40s. My partner and I are not big spenders and anticipate have enough to retire comfortably in 40s (obviously a lot can change). I have been assured I will become SM in next year (currently 31 years old).

My background is in Visual Merchandising, and I am currently working in Merchandising Space Planning at a corporate level. How do I transition my transferable skills into E-commerce Site Merchandising to be specific.

Has anyone ever posted a general marketing position? We have an open position on our marketing team but we are unsure what type of position to offer. We have a wide variety of needs but don’t necessarily need to have this future person have all these skills.
