It could lead to termination if someone outright refused, and I'm all for that. If someone was making excuses, they would likely get a couple of warnings before being let go. My company makes it very clear that these trainings are mandatory and have a strict deadline.
Yea for sure if someone out right refused, but I wonder if you went on a vacation and forgot to do it.
Probably not right away, but if you were refusing to do it for some reason, maybe. It seems like an odd hill to die on, and they are mandatory trainings.

Yes, especially if working for a large company. I once missed the deadline on one of HR's mandatory annual trainings and was suspended until it was completed. Big companies don't mess around with stuff like that.
God damn. I guess that's a great thing though. They have too much to lose. It is usually at the small companies that don't have these strict deadlines where things go left from what I've heard.
It’s legally required in some states, like NY and California. So, yes you could get fired.

Wow! definitely got to stop procrastinating these things, have some major consequences. Funny thing is the whole creative team including higher ups seem to procrastinate it.
