This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. So I joined IBM in May 2022 and was on bench for 5.5 months since then.I will be allocated to a project next week. Also my probation got confirmed a week back.

1)With me joining a project so late, can I expect a Variable Pay in March 2023?
2)The manager told me I have flexibility to choose 2-11 shift or work in morning as everyone is flexible here. What must I do officially to get that monthly shift allowance?

I received a verbal offer for a VP position at CCB line of business at JPMC in NYC two weeks ago. The recruiter asked for salary expectations but there was no number set. It’s been two weeks since and complete radio silence. I sent an email to a hiring manager a week ago but received no reply. It’s August so people could be on vacation but this is really strange. Has anyone ever worked at an agency in which the project management department was properly utilized? I traditionally was brought up in my career where PM type tasks were handled by lower level AMs. I have observed separating AM and PM tasks into two separate departments just causes communication issues and lazy account people. Account people should have a good understanding of how much effort and time goes into a project. Project Managers are missing a lot of context so blind leading blind.

Recently got a raise (putting me at 68k). Turned down an offer for 75k to stick it out and company said they can’t match. Management sup was laid off. Account director just quit. Need more $$. ADVICE?
