Show her all your job application and rejection emails. Sit there and read each one out loud until it sinks in. Then show her LinkedIn job posts and recruiters posts… a 1 day old post will have 80-100 and don’t forget to mention they stop counting after 100.

I’m in the same predicament for years and after very long periods of unemployment I have to accept offers I don’t really want and constantly downgrading managerial level, joining toxic places, changing functions, work under idiotic bosses, in order to keep my self afloat. Patience and persistence in job hunting. To prove competence without luck is impossible. Apply to alternative roles where you can transfer skills-my wife was always very supportive and pragmatic regarding corporate realities-so that gave me a slack. You need to make her understand more..
Man this is so relatable.
Been there and I’m there now. The reality is it’s supposed to take a month for every $10K you make over $100k but righr now it’s closer to 2 months. Your wife is going to have to choose to believe you that it’s a miserable market or not, but you can’t do much beyond just explain it to her.
Considering she’s the one with a job and making the money, divorce her and then she can pay you alimony. Problem solved.
