I used to like Christmas carols. Retail fixed that for me. WHY do they start earlier every year?

It seems like every year, the Christmas carols start earlier and earlier. I don't know why retailers feel the need to start playing them so early, but it's really gotten on my nerves. I used to enjoy listening to them, but now it's become too much!

It's just a reminder that Christmas is coming and I have to deal with all the craziness that goes along with it. Maybe next year, I'll boycott stores that start playing Christmas music even before Halloween lol

I thought I hated them when i was only shopping at the stores but now that I work one my hatred is just next level

It's me, I'm the guy who's in charge of putting on the Christmas music. I just love getting in the spirit haha

The holiday seasons starts right after Halloween, what else are we supposed to play until then?

I'm so grateful I don't work at a department store anymore. The music still sucks at this restaurant but at least it's not insufferable holiday cheer 24/7

woah what's with all the christmas hate? Y'all don't like the holidays? Am I missing something?

I love Christmas and don't mind that it starts early. It's the repetitiveness that becomes a twisted form of audio torture after awhile.

Have to capitalize on the holiday as much as possible unfortunately. Thankfully it hasn't ruined all Christmas songs for me, just the albums they insist on repeating every.single.day.

For those working in house, how much “from scratch” document drafting are you doing vs. reviewing and revising “outside documents”. For example, if your company wants to enter into a joint venture company with another entity, are you drafting the company agreement “from scratch” or is it based on internal forms? Or are you getting outside counsel to do it?

I ask, because as I look to the future I am wondering if just staying on the front lines will be more lucrative then entering management.

Moving on from Hotels (Hospitality)?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

Should I move on and go to a different industry? Opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.
