I’m convinced that Senior FP&A Analyst is the new Staff Accountant because every entry-level finance job now requires three years of Big 4 Audit experience. It’s incredibly frustrating to see. I’m trying to pivot into a strategic role. How do you convince a Finance Director that an auditor actually knows how to build a model, not just tick and tie one?

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)
