I’m currently interviewing for the role of "Principal Associate – Machine Learning Engineer" at Capital One.

I’d like to understand whether this is an individual contributor role or a lead kind of role ??

The job description doesn’t mention anything about it, and the HR representative I spoke to wasn’t sure either. She said she would check and get back to me, but I haven’t received any update yet.

How do you keep up/in touch with your network? Mine barely post anything on LinkedIn, so commenting on their posts is out of the question, and apparently it's impolite to just message or email them if the job searcher doesn't have anything to share besides asking for a referral or opening. If I don't have any relevant information to share with them, what should I do?

Do you guys feel like Biden is actually the cause of the unemployment rate being down? In 18 states where the rate is down significantly, 15 of them are run by republicans... just saying. Everyone's praising him for bringing the economy back but I'm still unemployed...and the cost of living is more pricey than ever.

Worst part about being unemployed is the pity face everyone makes when you tell them. If I hear one more "don't worry you'll find something soon" I'm going to scream. Trying to be helpful is one thing but pitying me helps no one and makes me uncomfortable.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team?
