I'm distressed about RTO. I joined the government as a teleworker 12 years ago, reporting in office once/week. Eventually I had a remote agreement. I go in on occasion, but it is not required. During COVID my agency moved, and now my commute one hour 40 minutes each way. The irony is that I work more hours (nights & weekends - I am an attorney - it's part of the job). RTO is going to be more difficult for my productivity. Anyone else?

Same boat. My office (all attorneys) is going to see a lot of movement because people will definitely go to the private sector. And since we litigate I also work nights and weekends when there are deadlines coming up. We aren’t sure if there will be an exception to allow WFH on days where we are brief writing so that attorneys aren’t losing 3-4 hours a day commuting.

Sorry you're in this boat! A commute + urgent court deadlines will be horrible.
