Do you follow sitreps2steercos and trades_and_raids on IG? Those both have a lot of transition resources and fairly robust networks. Theveteranprofessional is another good one.
Bigger questions, first - where do you want to relocate (when you answer this you can decide on companies to target).
If going toward consulting, is your interest in government or commercial consulting? Or are you interested in working with the more traditional government contractors (eg. Northrop, L3, Boeing, etc.)?
I transitioned from the military over a decade ago and went into consulting before deciding to make a change and found myself with Amazon. I’ve worked across government and commercial clients and can speak to both sides. Decided to leave consulting a couple years before my look at partnership to have more control over my travel schedule and spend more time with my kids.
If you send a DM, I’m happy to connect and chat and provide any guidance, advice, or make any connections I can in your target areas.
Hire our Heroes is one worth looking into.
I 100% recommendation and used to volunteer for Four Block. Also Veterati. The other ones mentioned are good too. I actually provide a lot of advice to transitioning service members. DM me if you just want a sounding board. I use my network to hook you up.
have you tried one of the military hiring groups?
like lucas group?
I went through Microsoft Software and Systems Academy (MSSA), if you're looking for something IT related it's a great class, it's open to service members transitioning and veterans. They have like a 90+% job placement, and most that don't get placed chose to go to school to continue their education.
Look into Breakline. They are amazing and have a partner ship with great companies to place you in them. You can also look into going to school for your masters/MBA to give yourself more time and another network to obtain. Use VRE first for education funding.
Service2school is a great resource for that and sitreps2steerocos. Your background would be great for a top mba program!
Thanks. Already have a masters. Done with school for now. I’m going to look into breakline.
It’s a tough time in the market right now, it’s not you or your experience. I know booz Allen & guidehouse both love former mil, even more for special operations experience as well.
Check out industry transition programs, several F500s have legit pathway programs. Alternatively MBA is always an option.
Good luck. Any questions?

I realize no one wants to be that insider threat person but keep an eye out for this type of activity. Most movements are global now and often digitally connected. Unemployment and labor party linkage to communism is documented.
