I’m in a challenging situation with my higher up- whose leadership style is seen-by both customers & peers- as arrogant, lacking humility, & out of touch. Instead of collaboration, he micromanages me and my customer relationships, & my industry knowledge. Customers have described him as obnoxious & prefer working with me. Peers at HQ, including those who trained him, have shared similar frustrations, confirming this isn’t an isolated issue. I’m committed to results, but need advice with this.

Has anyone had any experience with Water Street Partners for lateral recruiting? Reached out to me cold with a few ideas and I’ve had two follow up emails and a call with an MD at reputable banks, but it all seems very sketchy. For instance an “HR Specialist” reached out to me to set up a call, but when I look her up on LinkedIn she’s a IB VP. The MD I spoke to named a few other people he was going to have reach out, but haven’t heard from either of them. Just doesn’t feel like a normal process
