Those who are voluntarily returning to the office — how often are you going and what days seem to work for you? Looking to slowly incorporate a few days here and there for change of scenery etc. — will add there is no pressure to do so (yet).

Following. I’m like, Mondays could be a day, but sometimes I’m just not into the week yet by then. Friday is a hard no because I need to end the week (otherwise known as typical client conference call days) on a chill day. So Tues-Thursday are likely the best with likelihood being 2 or one of those three days.

That’s at least what I tell myself. Then I wake up, think about what I have to wear and then say: F*ck it. I’m just staying at home.

I’ve been enjoying (optional) Thursdays in the office lately, mostly because some of the coworkers I like have been doing the same. Pretty chuffed to see the community slowly come back to life

I like Mondays and Thursdays. Ready for a change of scenery by Monday.

I go in usually M-T-Th or M-W-Th. Always work from from Friday’s and I like having one of the midweek days home too. It’s a good balance for me

I have not started yet, but I’m thinking Mondays and Tuesdays to get my week started, then home the rest of the week.

Now that the craziness of 2021 is firmly in the mirror, what is your class year and when do you normally stop working at night, on average? For me 6 to 7 is the average. Have to wake up at 5 or 6 a.m. one or two days a week to make that happen though and it may not last through Q4..

Additional Posts in Law

I find myself questioning basic politeness I’ve learned since a child. Wondering what everyone else thinks. I work with an associate. She’s great. When she does good work or something I’ve asked her to do, I, of course, say “thank you!” I don’t really expect a response. She always replies “you’re welcome!” Or some variation. And for some reason, that’s awkward. Is it just me? I know in normal manners, that is the right response. Why does it sit funny?

I’ve been with firms for 6 years. I struggle (not that I’m not intellectually capable of doing this job), I just hate the detail oriented nature of this industry. Everything gets scrutinized so carefully and most things I stayed up late for doesn’t matter.

I just got PIP talk and they are pushing me out next year. I’m kinda relieved. I want to leave law completely and be someone on the operation side. Eventually I want to be an COO.

How do I get there from here?
