Can I enter the US when I have H1B change of employer petition approved but employed with my current company and serving notice period? Which company’s I-797 form do I show immigration? Do I tell them about switching jobs, etc.?

I get them and am excited about the possibility of them helping for about a week then I just stop using it. Even if I find it helpful I just never stay consistent with it. Does this happen to others? If I have accepted an offer from a UK company and they have initiated my visa process; meanwhile I get a better offer from another company which will also have to support my visa; does the second company then pick up the previous visa process on the same application number or it starts a fresh process with different application number.
