I'm in the UK, and have requested 2 months working from abroad - all booked and paid for, because I believed I had the right to work from the EU for less than 90 days. My employers HR dept are saying they want proof - and I don't have any

I really want to go. I know others have gone without telling HR, but now I've said I want to go, they might check my location after denying the request... I dont know what to do

I have been in management for the past 8 years and part of large corporations. I just recently joined a small organization that I have wanted to be a part of for the past 2 years, accepted the role of general manager. This organization knew that I don’t have general manager experience, no payroll experience, no experience setting prices, no purchasing experience and today, 6 days after starting, I have been asked to step down due to not being confident that I will be ready in 3 weeks…

Last week I worked remote from a Royal Caribbean cruise so here are my learnings:
The internet had a max of 3.7 Mbps which meant I had my video off the whole time. I had one call completely drop in 5 days, so all in all not bad. None of my coworkers seemed to notice or care very much. In a couple weeks, I try Holland America so hopefully it’s the same or better! I would love to hear other cruise experience or tips
