There are people who started in big law and still have imposter syndrome. Focus on doing the job you know, cultivating relationships, and increasing your skill set. A healthy amount of uncertainty is also good for being a thoughtful practitioner.
I lateraled to BL from a much smaller firm as well…..and I had the same fears. But when you get there, you will understand that you are just as smart and accomplished as the other lawyers - that’s why they hired you. They wouldn’t bother if you weren’t qualified. Once you start working and acclimate, that feeling will subside.
You got the job. You have skills they want. Idk if you’ll ever get “out” of this feeling bc I think it comes in waves (especially for women). You belong there!

Impostor syndrome is an awful feeling. I am the person with the impressive resume, and I still feel like an impostor sometimes. You are more than qualified for this new role, which is why they went with you over all other candidates. Chin up - you’ve got this.
I went from a 2 person law firm to big law so I have been there. I’ve been at my new firm 3.5 years and I still get imposter syndrome at times, but I think you just have to remember that of all the applicants, they chose you. They know your background but still recognized your skills and value your worth. Know that it will be a learning curve but you got this!!
