Don’t try to time the market. In other words, don’t touch it.

You chilllllll. Didnt u literally just went through March 2020? If we can rebound from that, we can rebound now.

What is your portfolio construction like? What is 11k from % stand point?
If it is S&P index funds and lost because of the GME mania I wouldn’t worry. But look at slight diversification. If you are constantly picking ... maybe time to reevaluate strategy.

That’s the trouble with 401ks. They were designed for people who know nothing about the stock market and your choices are like “here’s a few funds, pick one.”
How old are you? I'm assuming you have aggressive growth strategies. But if you aren't above 45 then don't bother with it.
I'm afraid the market won't do well under the current administration. Do you think it will rebound and therefore I should leave it alone? I'm 43.
💎 ✋ 🤚 op. Why are you even worried about your 401. Unless you’re about to retire embrace the stock discount

The $11k number might not be that meaningful depending on the size of the portfolio. I’ve had moves that size fairly regularly the last year. On that awful day in March I lost as much in a day as I made in a year my first year out of college. If your moves are frequently more than 1.5% to 2% per day then you’re probably too aggressive. I’m also 43 and starting to think more about capital preservation.
Take a step back and think about investment goals, investment style, and risk tolerance. Some people will ride it out. Others will trade the whole wad and be fine going to cash at times. Most will be in the middle. But you should take some time to learn how to read charts and trade if you’re going to be active. Or hire a manger.
Stop looking at it! You still young it will rebound
