It could be helpful to list the conditions that requires use of service dog.
Aren’t service dogs allowed literally everywhere?
I feel like there is more to the story here. Service dogs are allowed by law so not sure if there is any other factor like a non-US country or something similar.
This is from ADA website. Also ADA makes distinction between emotional support animals and psychiatric support animals.
It’s very hard I’m finding to ‘find’ a service dog or a place that works w/trains/provides service dogs. I thought about hiring someone to train my young golden, but…. Good luck and let us know what you find.

Service dogs are allowed as a reasonable accommodation at most jobs. It’s the law. You don’t even need to tell an employer you have one until after you are hired. But be prepared to educate them a little bit about ADA law.

All true service dogs are allowed by law unless a company can prove undue hardship which is very difficult and people don't want to take that on.
Every job is service dog friendly. It’s the law. I just do not recommend mentioning this until you have already begun a new job. That said, you’ll make a fool of yourself and the company will almost certainly find a way to fire you promptly if your dog is not trained for service. An emotional support dog is a service dog, I have one myself. But unless the dog is trained to absolute perfection, the way a therapy dog for blind is, I recommend you leave your service dog home. Even emotional support dogs are not meant to be with you all the time. They’re meant to help you during stressful periods of time. Which is why they typically are not trained to the same extent as therapy dogs. If you need an emotional support dog at work, then you need to find a job where you won’t require constant emotional support. But if your dog is a therapy dog, it’s discrimination not to accommodate this
You are a bit confused. An emotional support dog is not a service dog, and neither one are therapy dogs. Service dogs are dogs that are trained to do specific tasks to help with a disability. To have a service dog, you must have a disability, and the dog must be specifically trained to do tasks relating to helping with that disability.
An emotional support animal requires documentation from a health care provider that the animal will help with a mental health condition, but the dog does not need any special training.
Service dogs are allowed almost everywhere under ADA regulations, but emotional support animals are not.
Therapy dogs are dogs that receive some extra general training and then their handlers take then to hospitals, schools, or stressful places simply to cheer people up and help with stress. They don’t necessarily provide any special service to their owners. Their owners/handlers take them to help out other people who might benefit from seeing or petting a dog. They don’t have any specific legal protections.
If you have a disability and have a service dog, that service dog would be allowed by law to accompany you to your job as long as it is reasonable for them to do so. Since it is a service dog, by definition it is trained. Service dogs are usually meant to go everywhere with their owners.
I know our Walmart has a guy that has a service dog.
