Purely cost cutting. Every team manager has a target of reducing 10-15% headcount in thr respective team. Hence, they intentionally giving low rating to team members and putting them on PIP. Out of 100 who are in PIP, few will be saved (depends on manager), others will be ask to resign.
How are you determining the number like 10 to 15%. Overall they wanted to cut down by natural attrition or by PIP but there is no hard target as such. Are you a manager or did someone say to you?
PIP will be applicable for 2 continuous IM rating..

Oh man, I joined as P3 in Jan'2025 and I was given Inconsistent meets ratings for silly reason for not maintaining trackers in operational excellence team.. No PIP was given yet. Do you think m at risk?

Don't rely only on rating as well... My entire india team of 9 members got laid off in the month of April. Even I am part of the list... I got Exceeds twice and Meets once in the last 3 years in Wells... It's purely on cost reduction
