Been with Big Four advisory (GRC) for 10 years. Really tired of meaningless “consulting” and commoditized implementations. Recently been through a rough job search and finally landed an offer with a mid size bank in their risk practice. People say that the culture there is quite political and bitter but I’ll learn a heck lot and get a new opening on my resume. Salary is the same. The other option is to take a consulting job that pays me 50k more but do the same work! Thoughts? Thanks!

Would love to understand the culture at Protiviti. I have seen all types of feedback on glassdoor from really good to horrible and read alot about micromanaging at the leadership level. Do people like it there and happy with the company?

For the Protiviti fishes, were you onsight before Covid? I keep seeing jobs that say the roles with Protiviti are hybrid. Do you think the company will eventually move away from remote? A recruiter reached out to me but couldn't answer my question about remote now or in the near future. It was very vague.

In the early stages of the interview process. Was told there wouldn’t be a case interview, but a technical interview instead. What should I expect?

Anyone want to talk about what they are expecting as a baseline % bump at the end of the year? I’ll go first, 20% minimum before considering performance which was a mix of exceptional / very exceptional; lol! I have good anecdotal evidence that the market easily supports this.

I currently work for PwC, I'm sure some of you come from big4 and understand the low salary, long hours, and office politics that PwC and other big 4s bring. Do you enjoy working at Protiviti more than PwC? How is work/life and travel requirements? Reinvest stuf requird?
