The thing tip that worked for me once I was able to do it was just to be ruthless with what you throw away. If you don't need to keep something, toss it. I would wind up with a lot of hard copies of things I thought I'd need to refer to, and of course I very seldom did. I always think I'm going to need something, and breaking myself of the habit of hanging on to it all was tough, but it's liberating once you force yourself to do it.
That's definitely good advise. I don't really have anything to throw away though because I justt started my job. My desk i just literally too small to work with.
Can you get a standing desk thingy for the top of your desk? It’ll create some more shelf space, but honestly, I agree with HRS1. Purge.
I didn't think of that. I need more physical room on my desk.
Vertical space is your best friend. Stack, clip and hang where you can. A clean desk makes the day feel calmer, even when work is not.
Ooo yes that's a good idea. I should ask for some trays that stack.

I’m following for advice as my desk can look a right mess but it’s my mess and I know where everything is🤣 I try to be tidy and keep it minimal but when I’m really busy, it piles up and tidying my desk is the last thing I’m thinking of doing.
