How did you manage to run your business and start a family at the same time? How long was your mat-leave for? Is being part of a team better than solo at this stage? My old boss and his boss still interact with me in my new role. They talk to me like I don’t know what I’m doing - super mansplaining and condescending. I left their team for these reasons and more.

I’m trying not to lose it on them. How does everyone deal with disrespectful people like this and not lose your drive to continue?

I have a lot of enterprise marketing experience, but making a jump to a startup and want to get up to speed as quickly as possible.

How do you deal with a manager who always blame you for actions that the manager instructed me to do in the past? E.g. manager reviews client decks with you and instructs to just note a strict budget to report. After a week, manager rereads the same deck and blames me for not supporting the budget that was added per the manager’s request. We always have this situation, no matter how much I ask for clarity in any internal reviews. I even sent back the emails and slack chats as an attachment.

Hi! I’m a first-year associate working at a large regional firm. I attended a well-ranked, but regional law school and my grades weren’t stellar. School was never very motivating for me, and I put way more effort into internships and networking than my studies during law school. Luckily, I love to network and landed an awesome job at a big firm. Eventually, I’m hoping to work in-house. My question is this, will my grades always follow me? I’ve heard that with time and experience, not so much.

I wish there was something I could say/do about it, but it's literally making my blood boil seeing them like posts about "uplifting" and "supporting" BIPOC, only because I know that once they get off their screens and they're the meanest people
