I'm really struggling with work-life balance lately. It seems like I'm always leaving work late and even working through lunch. It’s getting tough to find time for myself. How do you all manage to create that balance in your lives? Any tips for juggling work and personal time?

I was going through this last year and I had to really take some time to evaluate what was causing me to be working so much. Eventually I realized that it was the fact that several of my coworkers were consistently out for whatever reason and I was just expected to pick up the slack. I talked to my manager and let them know that this wasn't working for me so they started re-allocating some of the responsibilities.

When I've had problems like that I usually take a good look at my time management, or the lack of it, I should say. I have a tendency to misallocate time, in the sense that I'll let myself get bogged down on tasks that should be fast and simple. At times I've had to give myself a bit of a nudge to pick up the pace on some of my work. And a big issue is focus, I find that if I really knuckle down and focus on tasks I accomplish a lot, but it's very easy to get distracted. It's amazing how much I can accomplish if I'm just doing one thing at a time.
