Honestly LEK is a bad place to be these days. I highly recommend that you stay away.
Are you the same analyst that posting? Everybody has already told you that LEK is a toxic sweatshop that you should avoid at all cost. You said you don’t hate your job right now but if you join, you certainly will. 15+ hour days are no way to live life. There’s a reason why you have to keep posting and nobody wants to have a coffee chat with you and that is nobody is happy here. Good luck. I hope you get what you want.
I work at LEK and I have alumni from my college reach out. Even then, I ignore. What makes you think I will want to have a chat with a stranger?
oh boy 😭😭😭 someone’s feeling edgy 😭 no i am not the same analyst i just saw the posting
I’ll answer your questions on this thread here. I’ve been here nearly 3 years. Yes people are more upset in the last 6months due to recent leadership decisions.
Yes it’s a lot of work, but imo it’s worth (I lateraled myself)
More upset in the last 6mo. People were unhappy before that too but it’s been much worse recently
Pro
For the love of god stop posting these and just search FB
I’m also ex-LEK. Depends where you’re coming from but almost for sure worth it. You’ll learn an insane amount, develop a crazy work ethic, make good money, and have great exits. I hated working at LEK but also recognize I owe all my professional opportunities and skills to having started there
Yeah I agree, I hate how everyone tries to sugarcoat our WLB. It’s just plain bad no matter what way you slice it.
I exited to a unicorn doing S&O work, don’t think I could survive the PE lifestyle lol
Dont apply bad place
If you are young, don’t have kids and can live near the office, may be worth the sweat for 2 years. It will just hurt a lot during.
Do not
Apply if you have resilience, it will be worth it
