Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

It’s a two-way street. Just because they did ghost after accepting the salary, doesn’t mean that wasn’t an issue either. For every applicant that just disappears is a hiring manager or recruiter that does the same.
I've heard so many stories about applicants being ghosted by companies that I can't feel too bad about companies who feel ghosted. From the employer's side it's a competition to get talent. And as they've gotten used to treating applicants pretty rudely, it's understandable that another company could steal an applicant away. If you're ghosting a job offer, you probably have a pretty good reason.
This is the most Washington Times article that the Washington Times has ever published. At a time where employed people can't afford rent, unemployment is skyrocketing, and the behavior from recruiters and companies have been appalling, this writer wants to point fingers at Gen-Z for not taking every low-wage, exploitive job they are offered? Really? That's the issue?
This is a bit weird. I thought Gen Z was having a hard time finding jobs. Particularly those entry-level jobs.
You are correct. We are. Companies want to maximize profits in every way they can. That includes underpaying the most-qualified candidate they can find (even if they are overqualified for the role). I've got about a year of experience and applying to these "entry-level" roles, and I'm just getting beaten out by "more qualified candidates". Nothing wrong with me personally, just the way the companies choose I guess.
Gen X wouldn’t do that . They want to work , maybe companies will stop age discriminating .
