I’m starting my job search and feeling some anxiety about my CPA history. It took me quite a few tries to get past FAR and REG, which delayed my certification by a while. Do hiring managers typically look into how many times you sat for the exams? I’m licensed now, but I can’t tell if the time it took to get here is going to hurt my chances during the screening process.

Be proud that you passed. No one cares how many times you took the exam and no one will ask. Each of our journey is different, and at the end of the day, your CPA certificate won’t look any different than the next person. Best of luck with your search.

You passed and are a CPA. How you got there doesn't matter.

I agree with others, what really matters is that you passed. They aren't going to look into how many times it took you to pass. Just focus on applying for jobs and crushing interviews. You have got this.

Not a single person will care or ask how many times it took you to pass. Don't bring the exam up. All they will care is that you have an active CPA
