I have often found that I work well when I'm up against deadlines. And when a deadline is quite distant I find it easy to slack off a bit and not really give it my best effort. So in a funny way, being right up against a deadline on a short-term project probably does bring out the best in me. Having said that, I realize I need to work on my time management when it comes to longer term projects.
Exactly me. I feel like I am only motivated by lack of time and it’s a character flaw at this point
I can appreciate where you are coming from. Personally, I prefer the longer projects. Time to get all the details and see the improvements as we go.
I can relate to this. It's not so much that I have a desire to procrastinate, I just always seem to function better when I'm working on a tight deadline. It's like my brain considers anything more than a week out to be a tomorrow problem. I should make more of an effort to stay on top of my workload, but it's hard to make myself when procrastination has worked well enough for me so far.
