I’m starting to see some New York job postings listing hourly rates instead of salary, is this normal? Has anyone gone through a recruitment process where an hourly rate was written….did the recruiter give you a full time salary range when interviewing? I feel the hourly rate can be confusing

Not in New York, but I haven't seen that. Are any of the positions contract, or are they listed as full time? That's the only explanation that'd make sense to me.

No they’re actually listed as full time, that’s what confuses me

It's possible it's an organization that isn't looking for hire fulltime people. I believe New York requires a salary range for job postings, so perhaps it's related to that, it's a way of complying with the law, confusing though it may be. I agree that fulltime salary ranges would seem to be more common.

Hm yeah it’s strange to me, the position seems to be full time though.

Very normal

You’ve seen the hourly rate? When you have the interview do they give a full time salary then?

I have been in my current job for 1 year now as a booking coordinator for a logistics company. Hi All! Looking for some advice. I am a manager a country club but I do everything. I’m in charge of outside events and member events, in charge of the front of house staff, scheduling, ordering and membership sales for the club. I feel I am very underpaid at $45k. I do get commission but it’s very low ($10k give or take for the year). I work 6/7 days a week sometimes 10+ hrs/day. I’ve been researching salaries to be able to negotiate higher pay. I want to ask for $60k-is this reasonable?

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table. I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

Got an offer for Sr. Financial Analyst for 85k & 10% annual bonus. What's a good counteroffer? I told the recruiter 95k-110k when I first interviewed. This position is 100% remote, headquartered in VA. I live in NYC. Have roughly 2 YOE.

Thanks.
