I'm still learning the ropes and realizing effectively communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences is crucial in the pharma industry. Can you share a story about a time when you had to explain a complicated scientific idea to someone without a technical background? How did you approach the explanation, and what storytelling techniques did you use to make the information more accessible to this person??

Break down the information into smaller, digestible chunks.
I try my best to avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. Apart from that, see if using visual aids like diagrams or props is possible. Even using analogies and metaphors to relate the concept to familiar ideas is helpful. Good luck!

Never hurts to ask ChatGPT to explain something like you are a 5th grader or share ideas for simple analogies to convey complex concepts. Use AI to your advantage and your human skills to tailor your message perfectly.

Combo of visual aids and simple jargon/technical free language telling them what they are looking at (eg graphic of viral vector delivering gene with text like “delivers corrected gene to body”)

use takeaways on your slides, especially for Sr management, they want important points not the whole history

I'm a Registered Nurse in medical dermatology. Over the last few weeks, I have submitted 8 applications, most of which are pending for Clinical Specialist (sales). I think a Nurse Ambassador role would be a better fit, but I don't see many listed. What other titles are these Nurse Educator roles listed under? Any other roles appropriate for Nurses that I may have overlooked?

To answer your question, as a Nurse I have to adjust my teaching style to meet people where they are at. Many of my elderly patient population understand motor vehicles. I often use car analogies and you see the concepts finally click for them. Think of your body like a car, it requires constant fuel, it may need to warm, up, and it requires maintenance to run effectively. Engine analogies for the heart, etc

I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.
