Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.

I’d caution against applying for companies that you can’t see yourself working at - it’s a waste of time for both you and the company. Applying to companies you are at least interested in is fine even if you ultimately decline. The interview process is there for both parties to gather information and make a decision.

Agree with PA1. Always good to throw in one or two that you have very, very limited interest in just to brush up on interview skills. I find it very exhausting pretending to be interested in a company that I’m not. You may be different. I recently went through the process and after 2-3 interviews, I felt ready like I had picked up the interview skill again. I got the 2nd company I applied for and wasn’t really interested in the first (it showed and I didn’t get it).

Friendly tip from a former recruiter & HR PM.

Under no circumstances disclose how much you make or what you want to make.

Tell the recruiter,” I need to interview to learn more about the specific details of this opportunity before I’ll know how much I need to accept a potential offer…”

I discuss & other do’s and dont’s on IG.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to know how long does Course5i take to release an offer, I cleared all rounds last friday and was going to get an offer from HR early this week (by Monday evening or Tuesday) but didn’t get any offer till now.

I loved the role and I am still excited to join the organisation so mailed a follow up to the HR yesterday but did not get any response till now. I do not want to follow up for the next 1-2 days since I feel it would be too pushy from my end.
