I’d caution against applying for companies that you can’t see yourself working at - it’s a waste of time for both you and the company. Applying to companies you are at least interested in is fine even if you ultimately decline. The interview process is there for both parties to gather information and make a decision.
Agree with PA1. Always good to throw in one or two that you have very, very limited interest in just to brush up on interview skills. I find it very exhausting pretending to be interested in a company that I’m not. You may be different. I recently went through the process and after 2-3 interviews, I felt ready like I had picked up the interview skill again. I got the 2nd company I applied for and wasn’t really interested in the first (it showed and I didn’t get it).

Set up LinkedIn alerts for Corporate Counsel, Senior Corporate Counsel in your city. There will be some that look awesome and others not so much.
