Comment if you or someone you know makes $200k (could be cash + equity) working 40h/week (at most 50h occasionally) in an industry (not consulting) strategy operations or other business-related role (not product management or software engineering type of techy role), at age 25 or 3 years after undergrad. I know it’s kind of rare but want to know how rare/possible it is. What is their background and company (industry, stage, size, etc.) that got them to this nice position?Boston Consulting Group
Hi DI folks, how were the hikes last year??
Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Rising Star
Every company is paying way more to laterals , which doesn't even make sense.
In your case, i don't think recession matters. It is more of your performance and value add.
If you are valuable to management you can again get 20-30% hike this year as well.
E.g. i had a team mate in tech Mahindra who got 100% hike as a fresher and again 30% hike the next year and the next year he was onsite.
This was because he was literally doing tech lead work at 3 yoe and was appreciated a lot.
Who is doing lead in YOE in 3 Years in techm let me know I will change that candidate asap
Rising Star
Actually my team mate was frome the starting in the project , also, when others resigned he continued. Hence he has good knowledge and reputation by the time he was 3 yoe.
His H1b was raised when he was 3.5 yoe before covid , but due to covid was delayed.
