I'm very uncomfortable with a lot of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes amongst the other teachers. They complain about each other, or gang up on each other. I've tried my best to avoid getting caught up with it but it's resulted in me isolating myself from the most of the rest of the teaching staff. I haven't frozen them out completely. I'm still friendly and all, but I'm definitely not making new friends. Do you think this is the main cause of my burnout?

Probably contributes to the burnout. Being somewhere and constantly having that mental load of being friendly, but not sucked into drama, is a burden in itself. Happens at way too many companies now.

I don’t doubt it! Awful, trying to just navigate the day and having so much else overhead. I try to ignore as much as I can, but it’s still there.
