Do you have a link? All I see is that there will be a letter sent out 90 days before the license expires.
Basically, yes. I took a look at what's posted on their site and that seems to be what it says. If your license expires 6/30, you can renew it earlier than that in the 5 month timeframe. If you don't renew by your deadline, you have a 4 month grace period.
I'm licensed in a different state, but we have a similar rule that you can pay for your renewal within a specific timeframe before it expires. I think it's three months. And it does not change your licensing period (like from 12 months to 9 months). I'm not sure that we have a grace period after the renewal date. If I were licensed in NY, I would be hesitant to renew after my stated renewal date. I didn't delve further into the site to see if there are additional stipulations if you renew in the 4 months after.
