Can someone give me insight into the salary in NYC or in general for either of these companies? Any advice on where else I'd be qualified to apply? I'm a Social Work major and I've a got a ton of healthcare experience as a medical assistant, research projects (was pre med). I have a great GPA and great EC's, and some awards. Hi guys, I got an offer from x and i discussed that with my current. At 1st current said they can only give 30% increment. I said I can't stay with this cause i got 70% and expect at least 50%(as the 70% included VP and the current org don't have vp, they have bonus). Then they said they can do max 45%. I really wanted to stay here so I said okay to current. Then now hr called me and said they are matching the offer(no vp). What should I make out of it? What made them change their mind?
