I am trying to figure out how to switch to SWE. I have a masters in civil engineering and have a good background in higher level math. It looks like the better coding boot camps are quite expensive. The alternative is another masters in CS which is the same cost as many boot camps. Any recommendations on picking between a coding boot camp and getting another masters degree in CS? I’m looking to get into the best position possible after getting an education in CS (get a job quick and good pay).

Why would you ever want to rollover your 401K into an IRA? It seems like doing so would essentially prevent you from successfully being able to do a IRA to Backdoor Roth IRA conversion due to the pro-rata rule. Am I missing something? Wouldn’t you always want to just rollover your old 401Ks to your new 401K?

I’ve been a management consultant for 3.5 yrs. I’ve done 18 months of internal sustainability work such as building our sustainability practice, initiatives to get B CORP, SBTI, tracked carbon emissions, company campaigns for sustainability awareness, sustainability strategy. Fully regret completing my MBA at a non target even tho I got into some M7s, mainly for ego reasons. Was looking to move up in our company but from what I’m understanding, we have to have a degree in management. How would I go about trying to move up in and out of my position without a degree?

I currently working as project coordinator (on-site) for 3 months 10hrs everyday with package $75k, I want to move to remote or hybrid work but I only have 8 months of experience from my previous employer and I have completed my master's in construction management in 2021. I currently work at a medium sized firm and have about two years experience in personal injury litigation. The billable hours and lack of work life balance are really getting to me and I am looking to switch to something else out of litigation, preferably in house. I am also looking to relocate to a different state. How do I go about properly marketing myself to companies that might not take my relocation and minimal experience seriously?

What are salaries like for class of 2019 in am law 50-100. I have average working attorney collections as high as our senior associates but I’m only making 215k. Trying to see what salary I should ask for.

I want to move to Europe or New Zealand. I am educated/barred in the US and only speak English. Is this hopeless, or are there opportunities out there for someone like me?
