MBB offices for tech cases, low COL?
Currently working in tech, leaving for MBA ideally followed by MBB. Thinking ahead because of pre MBA events and long term partner. Paying sticker for MBA with loans, partner in school for 2-3 years after MBA. Which offices should I consider to build quick NW/pay off debt, build strong network in tech in/outside the firm, provide QOL similar to my unconstrained choices (LA or NYC)?

I believe I have a decent consulting skillset for an entry level position but other hurdles - such as international, MS from non target, experience with niche fintech unicorn - which make it difficult to get traction on online app. If it adds more credibility, I have interviewed with McK in the past and had a BCG referral from a PL recently which was rejected.

What is fastest way to improve both structured communication and thinking? Any helpful books or drills?

I recently applied for a position in one of McKinsey’s recently acquired firm for Senior Software Engineer (Team Lead).

The interview process is so damn easy - A medium level Hackerrank test, interview with company CTO and then behavioural round with a McKinsey Director and offer extended.

Wondering if this is a red flag.

I’ll be joining McKinsey & Company very soon as an Expert AP & I am excited. I got so many personal welcome messages, which was nice. I’m entering the firm with dedicated sponsors & I feel supported. I know that there will be some long days, hard work, & travel, but I am ready! I’m really eager to learn the McKinsey approach to strategy, problem solving, & communication.
