Interview with level 1 & level 2 & level 3 boss. The position was mid tier. Levels 1 and 2 boss were excited about my experience. Level three boss kept harping on me potentially leaving my current company (after five years). She kept asking why (opportunity, closer to home). She asked how they would feel about me leaving. She said she had never had time to look for another job.
How would you handle? How can they get mid tier if I didn’t work elsewhere first? (Sounds like no internal option).

I’m 23 and independent. Working full time and studying full time is taking a serious toll on my mental health. I’m always tired, unmotivated, depressed, sometimes angry at my life, and I don’t know what to do. I’m in my sophomore year. I also don’t work in the field that I’m studying (computer science) because I’m always rejected without an interview, which is another aggravating factor for me. It’s hard to have time to work on personal projects to make my portfolio more attractive.

I recently got an offer from Amazon for sde new grad and I’m thinking if I should join or not as I have heard a lot about toxic work culture. I’m getting a base of 129k + 27k joining bonus and 94k in stocks. It is higher than my current salary but I’m getting a lower title. What should I do? Should I negotiate on salary ? Or on the role? I had applied to a new grad role so O think I can’t negotiate on the role?

How do you cope when your employer rapidly descends into chaos from the top down? Today is my 2yr anniversary with this company. In the past 6mos, they have repeatedly changed directions / goals, pushing out several supportive and productive managers in favor of a single chauvinist overlord who makes HR violations daily and does no actual work. HR denies every complaint made against him and he retaliates to the point of firing people. Very hostile. How do I survive until I find my next gig?
