Seems the reviews are great. I am planning to talk to their sales team to negotiate better prices for a bulk order. Let me know if you are interested. I will provide more info if u r interested .

Uplift desk is better quality and more customizable but autonomous is slightly cheaper. Uplift gives you free promo items like a motion board

I have both. I went for the older smartdesk 2 instead of the premium. And went with Ergochair 2.
Happy with both of them. Specially the desk as it operates seamlessly. Got some discount using R-FLAT30

Thank you!

I purchased the Autonomous SmartDesk 2: Home Office, Myochair with Headrest & Legrest, Cable Tray (for desk), and Anti-Fatigue Mat (for when I want to stand for long periods of time). It’s been about 2+ months now and I love my setup! The standing desk works great and the chair is comfortable for long periods of time. The only problem I ran into was that there was delayed shipping for my chair, which arrived 1 week past the promised delivery date.

Awesome thanks! 1 week delay isn’t bad considering the current demand

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid

I feel like this whole S&O thing hasn't really changed my life within EY on a daily basis. Is that because the switch isn't clicked until July or? I figured they would begin soft transition now..

I recently lateraled into Big Law. Most of my colleagues are homegrown. My shift did involve a big change in practice area, and there's work that I haven't done before that I now have to do.

But, sometimes I feel stupid here, even for work which I have done previously. It's like I'm unable to understand instructions the first time around. And I have seen my colleagues getting annoyed by that. It's like I've become dumb. In my defence, I could say they're giving half assed instructions.

on the way to an interview this morning eating a sandwich. I walked past a homeless man who had a stray cat perched on his lap. He asked for a bite of sandwich to feed them both as they hadn’t eaten in days. I gave the whole sandwich over and headed off to the interview. As I got to the interview room there was a large executive chair facing away from me. The chair turned and on top was a mirror. When looking in the mirror I could see the cat. I am the cat. Truly inspirational when you work hard

Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I would face the wall so that I would have a better background for video conferences (am on about half the day) and also my cord situation would be cleaner.
