They are Bain Cap’s co-investment / secondaries arm, so you’ll get to analyze both companies and funds, but probably won’t get the exact same experience as an associate in their NA Buyout fund. My friend who works there told me they will invest into funds across asset classes which is interesting.

It’s not impossible but would be tough given you are not analyzing / working with companies usually. Bulk of the work is doing diligence on the sponsors themselves and whether they will perform well. Associates at direct PE firms are exposed to working with portco management and analyzing companies via modeling, CIMs, and management presentations, so they often have a great handle on investing/operations and what makes a strong company (investment for the PE sponsor). Hence the ability to transition to corporate roles easily.
From what I understand, it's a fund of funds, so make of that what you will.
