Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

I would get up to speed by taking note of
(1) the current fund size,
(2) how many funds they’ve operated up to now
(3) minimum investment amount
(4) the main verticals they invest in.
Questions you could ask:
(1) anything relating to the items above;
(2) why the interviewer(s) joined the fund and what they like about the fund;
(3) what interviewer(s) think about the culture;
(4) if you have anything you’re confident could add value you could slide a bit of a self-appeal in the form of a question. (E.g., “I have experience doing X and Y from my time with [previous company name], I think I would be able to add value to your company in [area/function you think it will add value], but what do you think?”)
Obviously use your brain and don’t ask questions that may not be right based on the “vibe” of the interview. It could be too early to start selling yourself on your skills, or it could be exactly what you need to say to convey interest in the fund. That judgement is up to you
Really appreciate this response, thanks!
I'd ask about the challenges the firm is facing and how they anticipate your role coming in to support those needs
Make sure that you’re camera ready and make good eye contact. Your sound system shouldn’t have any problems. Use the correct facial expressions. While the interviewer can always ask for more information, keep your answers concise. And practice some generic online questions like what are your strengths, do you prefer remote work etc. Best of luck with your interview.
