Depends if there are other factors.

If your base salary is 30k and it's a jump to 45k, that's a big increment. If your base salary is 100k and it's a jump to 115k, you won't notice the difference much.

If it's a 15k jump along with other benefits whether that's WLB, monetary benefits or prestige. Then it's an okay move

I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.

Can any one please tell me if its correct or just an excuse not to give me offer. If its true, when will this freeze be removed?

I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.

Is it a good idea to invest in your UK pension fund over the max your employer will contribute/match? This may potentially lower income tax but then one can't really access the pension pot till retirement. Or is it better to invest post-tax income into a stocks and shares ISA to avoid capital gains tax? TIA!

I was doing some googling and I saw that PWC offers MBA hires 45k in comparison to MBBs at 70k +. Is this a bad joke? I can't imagine that PWC's target for MBA hires is widely different from MBB. In the US, the pay gap isn't that wide. Any reason behind this madness?
